Out of all the laptops that I tried and tested, the HP 15.6" High-Performance Touchscreen Laptop PC Intel i3-7100u struck the right balance between price and performance.
Rocking a 7th gen Intel Core i3 7100u processor clocking in at 2.4GHz with 8GB of RAM and 1TB storage, the hardware selection is the perfect combination for either work or leisurely use.
It sports a 15.6” WLED touchscreen display of HD resolution with colors leaning on the more cooler side. The touchscreen performance is satisfactory and during my tests, it registered my taps accurately with no issues and swiping through the display was not a problem.
The Core i3 processor is more than capable for casual users. You’ll have no problems launching office tasks and switching between them thanks to the 8GB RAM.
You can comfortably leave multiple apps running in the background as long as they’re not resource-intensive. You can also throw in some light games like War Thunder and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and it’ll run it just fine at more than 60fps. Keyboard travel is nice but the trackpad needs more accuracy especially when two-finger gestures.
If you want a great bang-for-your back touchscreen laptop, the HP 15.6" High-Performance Touchscreen Laptop PC Intel i3-7100u is a solid choice. It’s one of the best touchscreen laptops that provide amazing value for the price.
Best high-end touchscreen laptop with some serious specs!
Rated by: Harry
If you wanna go all-in and drop your hard-earned money on a worthy device, look no further than this beastly offering from HP.
The spec sheet screams beast all around from the gorgeous Full HD display to the monster Core i7 8550U that clocks in at 4GHz. The hardware selection is mad serious with a dedicated 2GB AMD Radeon 530 for some intensive graphics and top-notch performance.
One of the best features of this device is the beautiful 15.6” Full HD IPS panel. Colors are very accurate, viewing angles are excellent, and images come to life thanks to the 1080p resolution.
Videos and movies look gorgeous on this device, making it a perfect companion for media consumption.
You can fold the screen up to 180 degrees if you solely want to use the touchscreen and leave the keyboard at the back.
It registers taps quickly and accurately without any inherent lags whatsoever. In terms of performance, the Core i7 8550U can basically handle anything you throw at it and then some.
One of the only few cons I have for this device is the 8GB RAM. Sure it’s more than plenty for most users, but given the spec sheet of this device, I feel they should’ve bumped it up to 12GB to maximize its full potential and avoid bottleneck issues.
If you’re willing to pay the premium price tag for the HP Flagship Convertible 2-in-1 15.6 inch Touchscreen FHD IPS Laptop Intel Core i7 8550U, I’m telling you that it’s worth every penny due to the combination of hardware choices and software performance which makes it one of the best touchscreen laptops on this list.
Best budget touchscreen laptop you can get!
Rated by: Harry
Getting your hands on a good performing touchscreen laptop shouldn’t come with a hefty price tag and burn a hole in your pocket.
HP has a solid budget offering with this device and it offers consistent performance for casual users looking to step-up their computing experience with a touchscreen panel.
It sports a Pentium N3710 processor that clocks in at 1.6GHz paired with 4GB of RAM and 500GB of storage. The specs are far from a world-beater, but it’s more than enough for casual users looking to use this device for office productivity and work use.
What’s important is that it’s able to launch office applications like Excel, Word, and Sheets just fine. You can also do light web browsing and media consumption with this device.
The 15.6” HD touchscreen display will suffice for most users though you may need to calibrate it because the colors are too cool for my taste. Touch input is consistent and accurate and I found it surprisingly pleasant to use. No hints of lags during my usage and it always registered my taps easily. What I like about this laptop is that it has an optical drive which allows you to read and write CD’s and DVD’s which is always a welcome feature.
It’s got 1 USB 3.0 port for fast data transfers and an SD card slot for transferring photos and videos. All in all, the HP 15.6-Inch HD Touchscreen Laptop Intel Quad Core Pentium N3710 is one of the best touchscreen laptops to get if you’re on a budget.
Gorgeous screen in a small package!
Rated by: Harry
Who says that you have to settle for a mediocre screen in a small laptop? The Acer Spin 1 changes all of that by sporting a beautiful 1080p IPS screen at 11.6” of screen size!
The visuals are crisp and clear and for a small display to sport Full HD, details are amazing at best. Obviously, the main selling point of this laptop is the screen because under the hood is some middling hardware.
It’s powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 that clocks in at 1.10GHz which is paired with 4GB of DDR3 memory with 32GB of flash storage. With this kind of spec sheet, you won’t be able to do much aside from launching a few apps and using it for web browsing and office applications.
I like how they included a stylus for a more interactive experience with the beautiful display and I found it handy in certain situations.
Touchscreen performance is great and I find using the screen more than the keyboard because of the display’s quality. Dual-band wifi is on board so you’ll have access to fast WiFi speeds of 5GHz. The two built-in stereo speakers fire well and sound good though it needs more volume to suit my tastes.
Budget touchscreen laptops usually come with HD resolution and it’s nice to see Acer change all that with this device which makes entry-level devices that much more appealing. This is certainly one of the best touchscreen laptops that offer 1080p resolution at an affordable price.
Affordable mini touchscreen laptop!

The Lenovo 11.6-inch Touchscreen 2-in-1 Business Laptop squeezes in a touchscreen panel in a fully functional laptop at a tiny package.
The screen is miniscule at 11.6” and is powered by an Intel Celeron N3060 that clocks in at 1.6GHz paired with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage. It’s a portable package that you can virtually take anywhere from work, school, or even at the bus.
The hardware selection means that you’ll be limited to using light applications at best. Office applications will open up but once you leave multiple apps open, the processor might choke and things will start lagging.
Light browsing is also recommended with 3 or 4 tabs maximum for a pleasant experience.
The small display means you’ll have to zoom in closer to read small texts and while it may not be the best device for media consumption, it more than makes up for it with its sheer portability. The touchscreen panel is accurate and the foldable screen shrinks down its size even more. Just fold it up and use the screen entirely for an even smaller package.
It’s got a whole host of ports like USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, an HDMI port, audio jack, and a MicroSD card slot. It’s also very lightweight so it won’t bog you down when you carry this device with you all day long. The Lenovo 11.6-inch Touchscreen 2-in-1 Business Laptop is best reserved for light browsing and office work on the go when you don’t have full access to your primary laptop or computer.
Before you go out and buy a touchscreen laptop, there are a couple of important factors to consider in order for you to make the correct purchase decision. Things like build quality, specifications, screen size, and performance matter when choosing a touchscreen laptop because this will dictate how the device will fit in with your needs.
Let’s take a closer look and discuss each of these key factors to have a better understanding of what to look for before buying a touchscreen laptop.
First off, let’s discuss build quality. You want a device that’s made of solid materials that are light and long-lasting. Affordable laptops come with solid plastic and while it’s sturdy, it’s not the most durable of materials especially for a device you’ll be using every day. More expensive options use a blend of metal and other hard materials that are not only lightweight but also stronger and more durable.
The best touchscreen laptops use a combination of both to make sure it can withstand everyday use.
Before buying a touchscreen laptop, know what you’re getting first by taking a close look at its specifications. Things like the processor, the RAM, the amount of storage capacity it has, and the combination of hardware and software choices will make a huge impact on how your device performs. The best touchscreen laptops offer a spec sheet that will meet your requirements and offer consistent performance on a variety of different uses.
Know what your intended use is and make a decision from there. If you’re looking to use a touchscreen laptop for home or office use only, then you don’t need a lot of power to run office applications and web browsing. A dual-core processor and 4GB of RAM will suffice. However, if you intend to use it for watching movies, videos, and playing games, then a laptop with a powerful processor, large RAM like 8GB and a storage capacity of 1TB or more will better suit your needs.
Since we’re talking about touchscreen laptops here, screen size matters as well. Do you plan on using the touchscreen extensively? If so, choose a laptop with a large display that’s usually around 15.6 inches or more. This will help you navigate through the whole operating system much more efficiently and will allow you to make more accurate taps and gestures on the touchscreen because of the wider screen real estate.
Other portable touchscreen laptops come with a smaller screen around 11.6 inches. They aren’t bad by any means, but if you plan on solely using the touch display, it’ll feel a bit cramped because of the small screen size and unless a stylus is included, it’ll be much harder to input accurate taps on the screen.
The best touchscreen laptops perform under any condition you want it to whether it be for office work, leisure, entertainment, browsing, and even gaming.
Choose a touchscreen laptop that’s capable of handling any task you throw at it and make sure it performs consistently under those conditions. That’s why it’s important to check the specs first before buying to make sure it can handle your computing needs.
Of course, we cannot ignore the keyboard and trackpad performance of a touchscreen laptop since these are one of the main contact points you have with the device. Some touchscreen laptops offer a full-sized keyboard and others only offer a standard keyboard but what really matters here is keyboard travel and how responsive the keys are when pressed.
It’s always a good idea to give the laptop a try before buying it to make sure you are comfortable with the keyboard and if it offers a good typing experience. The trackpad is also an important component that often gets overlooked. You want a trackpad that’s accurate and consistent so that you’ll face minimum to no issues when navigating throughout the whole OS.
All in all, my recommendation for one of the best touchscreen laptops is the HP 15.6" High-Performance Touchscreen Laptop PC Intel i3-7100u. The value it delivers for its price point is unmatched and for under $450 you’re getting a device that’s packed with good hardware and a good screen.
The 8GB RAM allows for seamless multitasking whether you’re running office applications, doing web browsing, or watching videos on YouTube or Netflix. The 15.6” touchscreen was a delight to use as well. It’s large and comfortable to touch and swipe on and I never found any issues during my time of use. The sleek aesthetics of the device also blend in perfectly with any work environment you use it in.
Laptops today offer more features than their predecessors and the touchscreen display is one of them. It offers a more interactive experience and makes the device more versatile as a whole. By taking into consideration the key factors when buying a touchscreen laptop, you’ll soon own a device that’s both fun and exciting to use.
